Sperry Top-Sider
The story of Sperry Top-Sider starts in 1935 when Paul Sperry, experienced sailor from Massachussetts, spent the week-end in New England, a harsh-winter region. While, walking with his dog on snowy and icy roads, he was surprised by his dog's amazing ability to maintain traction on the slippery surface.
His sense of observation and ingenuity of this man allowed him to reproduce the same tiny cracks and cuts he observed under his dog’s paws on the rubber sole of a sneaker shoe. The first deck shoe, the Authentic model, was born.
This story has been going on for 75 years and the brand still conveys the true spirit of the American way of life. Sperry Top-Sider, founder of the deck shoe, offers a wide range of shoes with a genuine, modern and trendy look for men and women.
