Without equal
Pare Gabia means "without equal" in the Basque language. Since 1935, this famous company has been the embodiment of espadrilles made in the traditional way. The cotton thread dyed in colours exclusive to the brands is then woven to make the upper.
Pare Gabia espadrilles are always hand-stitched when it comes to assembling the canvas and the cord sole. The brand started out in a modest workshop in the southern Landes and made its appearance in 1950. Its collections are both fashionable and timeless, playing on colour harmonies and combinations of beautiful materials. Pare Gabia has also added leather shoes to its product range...
The French brand embodies a certain art of living and the "sophisticated comfort" style of the models is reinterpreted each season for fashionista wardrobes. Designers who are aware of the brand’s expertise associate their names with Pare Gabia, such as Tsumori Chisato whose poetic collections are celebrated by the fashion world.
Since 2010, and without changing the brand’s identity, Pare Gabia has launched the "Améthyste" line, a fashion-orientated collection with style codes different from those of the original line. Brand deployment is now in the hands of the Royer Group since Pare Gabia joined its luxury division in June 2011.
The collections are distributed in France and abroad through ready-to-wear, clothing and accessory shops and Paris department stores.
